Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the Netherlands was appointed

1407Gayrat Fozilov, recently appointed as Uzbekistan's Ambassador to the Netherlands (based in Brussels), has officially presented a copy of his credentials to Hans Akerboom, Director of the Department of Protocol and Relations with the Host Country at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as reported by "Dunyo".
During the meeting, both parties expressed satisfaction with the growing ties between Uzbekistan and the Netherlands in areas such as political diplomacy, interparliamentary relations, trade, economy, and investment.
"The successful outcomes of the political consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries held in Tashkent in April this year. Both sides emphasized the importance of maintaining this mechanism regularly," the report states.
Discussions also covered upcoming plans for bilateral and multilateral cooperation, including the schedule of meetings and events at various levels.
Hans Akerboom assured that the Protocol Department would extend full support to the embassy’s activities, further strengthening the Uzbek-Netherlands dialogue.
Note: Gayrat Fozilov was previously appointed as Uzbekistan's Ambassador to Belgium in December 2023.
