Luxembourg appoints first ambassador to Uzbekistan

Tom Risen has been appointed as Luxembourg's first ambassador to Uzbekistan, according to an announcement by Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov on his Telegram channel.

"The Ministries of Foreign Affairs should strengthen joint efforts to explore and implement new opportunities for cooperation between our countries. Developing business relations, creating favorable conditions for increased trade, and enhancing the legal framework of our relations were key topics on today’s agenda. We wish the ambassador success in his work in our country," the minister stated.

Earlier, Manfred Huterer was appointed as the new Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Germany to Uzbekistan.
