Animals included in the Red Book were killed in Navoi

In the Navoi region, a citizen who hunted mother and baby gazelles included in the Red Book of the Republic of Uzbekistan was arrested.  This was reported by the Press Service of the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change.

It is noted that on July 9 of this year, a control raid was held in cooperation with the employees of the Department of Ecology of the Navoi region, the Department of Internal Affairs of the region, and the Ecopatrol.  During the raid, a Niva car driven by citizen K.Sh was checked in Navbahor district.  During the inspection, it was found that there were two shot mother-child gazelles included in the Red Book of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the trunk of the car.

During the investigation, it became known that gazelles were illegally hunted with the help of hunting weapons belonging to the citizens of the village of “Boltali” of the Narpay district of the Samarkand region.

“According to the situation, appropriate documents were drawn up and it was determined that 33 million soums of damage was caused to nature.  Also, the car driven by K.Sh was put in the penalty area and hunting weapons were sent to the Department of Internal Affairs of Navoi region for storage.  Currently, the necessary documents are being collected to send to the prosecutor’s office.
