In the Uchkurgan district of Namangan region, a citizen attacked and injured officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs with a knife. This incident was reported by the Regional Department of Internal Affairs.

The incident occurred on July 29 of this year at 8:50 p.m. Residents of the Fergana neighborhood contacted the district police to report a disturbance of public order and a quarrel involving an individual identified as K.Q. Two prevention inspectors, assigned to the area for night duty, responded to the scene to address the situation and attempted to prevent the hooliganism committed by K.Q.

However, the individual refused to comply with the lawful orders of the officers, actively resisted them, and struck them with a farm knife and a piece of wood.

As a result, a criminal case has been initiated by the district prosecutor's office under Part 2 of Article 219 of the Criminal Code (resistance to a representative of the authorities or a person performing their civic duty). The accused has been taken into custody, and a preliminary investigation is currently underway.

We also remind readers that it was previously reported that a senior prevention inspector was stabbed by a citizen while on duty in the Tashkent district of the Tashkent region.
