Woman faced vigilante justice for stealing clothes from a store in Namangan

A video showing a woman being subjected to vigilante justice by store employees after stealing clothes has gone viral on social media. To clarify the incident, QALAMPIR.UZ contacted the Namangan region's Department of Internal Affairs.

The incident reportedly occurred on July 14 in Jomashoy town, Mingbulok district. The woman was apprehended while leaving the store wearing clothes valued at approximately 1,190,000 soums.

A criminal case has been opened by the investigative department of the Mingbuloq District Internal Affairs Department. During the investigation, an excuse precautionary measure was applied to the woman.

"The vigilante action depicted in the video will also receive a special legal evaluation," stated the press secretary of the Internal Affairs Department.

Previously, in Samarkand, a man who insulted children for stealing apples from a garden by tying them up and beating them was also subjected to vigilante justice.
