In Namangan, authorities apprehended a farmer for stealing electricity valued at 200 million soums

In the Namangan region, illicit electricity usage was uncovered, as reported by the Department of Combating Economic Crimes.

According to reports, the head of the G'.S. farm, "J.B.", was discovered to have unlawfully tapped into the public electricity grid to power the production workshop at neighborhood without proper documentation, resulting in the unauthorized consumption of electricity amounting to 200.3 million soums.

The department stated, "A criminal investigation has been launched under Article 169 (theft) of the Criminal Code regarding this matter, and inquiries are ongoing."

It's worth noting that earlier in Fergana, individuals were identified for illegally consuming 140 million soums worth of electricity.
