It was reported that four members of a Uzbek family were killed in New York. The victims were the killer's 56-year-old mother, his brother's 27-year-old wife, and his 4- and 5-year-old nieces.

The person who committed this murder in Brooklyn has been identified as Shahboz Rajabboyev, according to "New York Daily News."

On July 21, the New York police announced formal charges against the 24-year-old man who committed the murders in Brooklyn. According to the publication, Rajabboyev could face a total of 200 years in prison on charges of first- and second-degree murder.

"New York Post" reported that family neighbors indicated the suspect might have mental health issues and use drugs. However, the court found from Rajabboyev's digital footprints on the Internet that he was mentally healthy, not using drugs, and committed the crime with intent. His social media profiles indicate that Rajabboyev worked at Bank of America, one of the largest banks in the United States.

Under US law, murder is classified by degrees. The most serious type is first-degree murder, which is premeditated. Second-degree murder refers to killing someone in a rage, without planning. Depending on the circumstances, a person can be charged with both first- and second-degree murder for the death of one person. New York is the only state in America that does not use the death penalty. For this crime, Rajabboyev faces up to 25 years to life in prison for each count of first-degree murder and up to 25 years in prison for each count of second-degree murder, totaling 200 years in prison.

Earlier, it was reported that an Uzbek woman was killed by her ex-husband in Pennsylvania. The ex-husband, 44-year-old Al Allaberg, broke into her apartment and shot her several times in the chest. After ensuring his ex-wife was dead, Allaberg shot himself in the head, committing suicide.
