A Uzbekistan Airways flight from New York to Tashkent was forced to make an emergency landing at Kazan Airport in Russia due to a drunk passenger onboard. The incident was reported by "Flightradar 24".

According to reports, 26-year-old S.U., who had been consuming alcohol during the flight, began behaving inappropriately. Despite warnings from fellow passengers, he refused to calm down, prompting the crew to restrain him. As a result, the Boeing 787 was diverted and made an emergency landing in Kazan on January 13 at 6:10 AM local time. The flight was delayed for nearly 13 hours.

The disruptive passenger was removed from the aircraft and taken to the police station, where a report was filed against him. The flight eventually resumed, and the plane arrived in Tashkent with a 3.5-hour delay.

In a related incident, a Boeing 737 flying from St. Petersburg to Samarkand with 173 passengers on board was also forced to make an emergency landing at Moscow's Vnukovo Airport due to a stabilizer failure.
