Measures were taken against the enterprise violating anti-monopoly requirements

"Real Agro Cotton" Unitary Enterprise has been subjected to appropriate measures for manipulation. This was reported by the Committee for the Development of Competition and Protection of Consumer Rights.

It was noted that according to paragraph 29 of the Regulation "On the Procedure for the Sale of Highly Liquid and Monopolistic Products on Stock Exchanges," approved by the Cabinet of Ministers' decision dated March 18, 2020, No. 170, the anti-monopoly body is required to constantly monitor stock prices.

During the study of information provided by the Tashkent branch of the "Commodity Exchange of the Republic of Uzbekistan," the Tashkent Regional Office of the Competition Committee identified cases of manipulation involving the direct sale of over 17,000 tons of cotton harvested by "Real Agro Cotton" in 2023. These sales involved technical seed products sold under direct contracts, which constitutes a violation of the established regulations.

For reference, Article 29, Part 3, Clause 12 of the Law "On Competition" states that selling highly liquid and/or monopoly products under direct contracts without listing the volumes on the stock market is a violation of anti-monopoly requirements.

Additionally, Article 311, Paragraph 18 of the Regulation approved by the Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 170 dated March 18, 2020, defines "the sale of highly liquid and/or monopoly products under direct contracts" as manipulation.

As a result, a case was initiated against "Real Agro Cotton" by the regional administration for violating the requirements of the above regulation "On Competition." Appropriate measures were applied in accordance with the established procedure, according to the statement.

However, the committee did not specify what those measures would be.

It is worth recalling that earlier, the Competition Committee determined that "Hududgaztaminot" had illegally charged "Ravon Yol Invest" LLC for undelivered volumes of natural gas, contrary to legal requirements.
