Mirziyoyev holds a telephone conversation with Tokayev

Today 9 May, the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with president of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kasym-Jomart Tokayev.

At the beginning of the meeting, the heads of States sincerely congratulated each other, fraternal peoples and veterans of the countries on the Victory Day in the Second World War and wished them good health, happiness and well-being, as well as peace and prosperity.

The sides discussed issues about the further strengthening of multifaceted cooperation, strategic partnership and allied relations between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.  It was noted with satisfaction that the indicators of mutual trade and investment were steadily increasing, and the links between parliaments, governments, and regions intensified.

Special attention is paid to the promotion of joint projects and programs in the field of trade, industrial cooperation, transport and logistics, energy, infrastructure, and other priority areas.

The presidents exchanged views on topical issues on the regional agenda and discussed further bilateral and multilateral action plans.
