Mirziyoyev talks with Keldiyorova by phone

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with Diyora Keldiyorova, who secured the Olympic national team's first gold medal by defeating all her opponents in the judo competition up to 52 kilograms at the Summer Olympic Games in Paris.
The head of state extended his warm congratulations to the sportswoman, who became the first female champion in Uzbekistan's history, on her historic victory. He also expressed gratitude to her parents and coaches.
It should be noted that Diyora Keldiyorova won the gold medal match at the Paris 2024 Olympics against Kosovar Distria Krasniqi.
Additionally, Saida Mirziyoeva, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, congratulated Diyora Keldiyorova on her historic achievement via her social media page.
"Judo player Diyora Keldiyorova is the first female athlete in Uzbekistan's history to win a gold medal at the Summer Olympic Games! She has also made history as our first athlete to win a gold medal in judo at the Olympics.
