The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, sent his condolences to the President of the Republic of India, Draupadi Murmu, and the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, in connection with the deaths and injuries of many people as a result of the tragedy that occurred in the state of Uttar Pradesh. This was announced by the President's press secretary, Sherzod Asadov.

"The head of our state expressed his deepest condolences to the family members and relatives of the victims and wished the injured a speedy recovery," the President's press secretary wrote.

For information, the number of people who died in a stampede at a religious gathering in India has increased to 120. Tens of thousands of people gathered at the ceremony to listen to preacher Bhole Baba. According to the police report, about 250,000 people took part in the gathering, even though the authorized capacity was about 80,000. The crowd ran after the departing preacher and tried to touch him. Many of them got stuck in the mud and fell to the ground, leading to them being trampled.
