The salaries of some teachers will be increased up to 50 percent

From 1 September 2022, the Ministry of Public Education together with the relevant ministries and departments will form and publish a rating of model schools by all districts (cities) of the country.  This is stated in the decision of the President of Uzbekistan «On additional measures for the development of public education».

The decision states:

•    Within the framework of rating, at the end of each school year, the status of spiritual and educational work done in general secondary education schools will be evaluated according to the criteria approved by the Ministry of Public Education;
•    Special commissions will be set up, headed by the heads of the district (municipal) education departments, to assess the state of spiritual and educational work in general secondary education and to conduct a rating;
•    General secondary education institutions will be divided into «green», «yellow» and «red» categories according to rating indicators;
•    Necessary measures will be taken to increase the effectiveness of spiritual and educational work in general education schools, classified as «red» category by rating indicators.
