Several streets in Samarkand are closed due to Macron's official visit

Due to the official visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to Uzbekistan, several streets will be closed tomorrow, November 2, in the city of Samarkand. Jahangir Sadullayev, the press secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Samarkand region, has provided this information.


"In Ibn Sina, Rudaki, Bostonsaray, Motrid, Sadriddin Ainiy, Shakhizinda, University Avenue, Registan, Mirza Ulugbek streets of Samarkand city, as well as M-39 and M-37 highways, Samarkand city, Samarkand, the movement of motor vehicles will be restricted in the parts passing through the territory of Okdarya and Payariq districts," said Sadullayev in his official message.


It was also added that patients and citizens in need of urgent medical assistance, as well as emergency workers, are allowed to move on the streets with limited traffic as an exception.
The Regional Department of Internal Affairs recommended that citizens traveling to Samarkand from other regions of the Republic, as well as from cities and districts of the region, postpone their plans scheduled for November 2 to another day.


For your information, French President Emmanuel Macron is currently in Kazakhstan, where he met with President Kasim-Jumart Tokayev. After Macron's official visit to Kazakhstan, he will come to Uzbekistan.


Let us remind you that earlier, the press service of the President of Uzbekistan announced that Macron would visit the country on November 1-2, and high-level negotiations would be held in Samarkand.
