Wages of cultural institution employees will be increased

The salaries of employees in state cultural institutions and organizations are set to rise, as outlined in the Presidential Decree titled “On Increasing the Wages of Employees Working in the Fields of Culture and Art, Information Libraries, and Museums”, signed on November 22. 

According to the decree, wages will be increased as follows:  

- From January 1, 2025: A 20% increase.  
- From July 1, 2025: An additional 15% increase.  

To enhance efficiency and accountability, a performance evaluation system (KPI) will also be introduced for employees in state cultural institutions and organizations.  

This initiative aligns with broader plans for the development of the culture and arts sector, as emphasized by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev during a presentation on November 22. The President highlighted the importance of theaters in enriching cultural life and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting the fields of culture, arts, libraries, and museums.
