Following the match against Spain in the first round of the Olympic group stage, the captain of Uzbekistan's Olympic team, Eldor Shomurodov, shared his thoughts.
"Considering the opponent, I can say that we didn't perform badly in our first game. Our chances slipped away due to minor errors. Our primary objective is to advance from the group stage. Even though we didn't defeat Spain, we will strive to win against our remaining opponents. At this point, we haven't lost anything," Shomurodov stated.
It's worth noting that Eldor Shomurodov scored Uzbekistan's inaugural Olympic goal with a penalty kick against Spain.
For your information, Uzbekistan's Olympic team will face the Egyptian and Dominican teams in their upcoming matches. Kapadze's squad will play against Egypt on July 27 and the Dominican Republic on July 30.
