21898Three Uzbek nationals accused of killing Jewish rabbi Svi Kogan in the United Arab Emirates last November have been sentenced to death. This was reported by Israeli media.
It was noted that the verdict was issued yesterday, March 30.
However, neither UAE officials nor Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs have commented on the matter.
On social media, an audio recording allegedly featuring a conversation with the mother of one of those sentenced to death has been circulating.
The individuals accused of the rabbi’s murder are said to be 28-year-old Olimboy Tohirovich, Mahmudjon Abdulrahim, and 33-year-old Azizbek Komilovich.
Last year, Uzbekistan’s Consulate General in Dubai and Embassy in Abu Dhabi stated that they were in constant contact with the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other relevant authorities to clarify the situation and were working on the matter.
