Uzbekistan issues statement on rabbi’s murder in the UAE

The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Dubai has commented on the arrest of three Uzbek citizens suspected of involvement in the murder of Svi Kogan, a rabbi killed in the United Arab Emirates.

The Consulate General, along with the Uzbek Embassy in Abu Dhabi, is closely cooperating with the UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other authorities to clarify the circumstances surrounding the case.

“Additional information regarding the details of the incident will be provided,” the statement read.

The three suspects, identified as 28-year-old Olimboy Tohirovich and Mahmudjon Abdulrahim, along with 33-year-old Azizbek Komilovich, were detained on November 25.

The Israeli government has labeled the incident as an “act of terrorism.” Investigations are ongoing.
