Mufti visits mosque affected by gas explosion in Andijan  

On March 31, following the tragic accident at a mosque in the Andijan region, the Chairman of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan, Mufti Sheikh Nuriddin Kholiknazar, visited the scene. This was reported by the press service of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan.  

As previously reported, a gas-air mixture explosion occurred in the ablution room of the "Ahmadali Hoji" mosque in the Izboskan district, causing the roof of the building to collapse.  

According to preliminary information, three people lost their lives, while 10 others sustained injuries and were transported to the hospital for treatment.  

It should be recalled that Deputy Prime Minister Ochilboy Ramatov, who was in the region at the time of the incident, and Minister of Emergency Situations, Major General Botir Kudratkhodjaev, also arrived in the Izboskan district to oversee the situation. A preliminary investigation into the incident is currently underway.
