Shomurodov and Masharipov among players facing suspension threat

Today, March 20, the Uzbekistan national football team faced Kyrgyzstan at home in the 7th round of Group “A” in the 3rd stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Several key players risk missing the next match against Iran if they receive yellow cards during today’s game.
Among the players at risk are Eldor Shomurodov, Jaloliddin Masharipov, Sherzod Nasrullayev, Farruh Sayfiyev, Odil Hamrobekov, and Bobur Abduholiqov, all of whom have accumulated yellow cards in previous matches. If any of these players are booked again today, they will be ineligible to play against Iran.
Previously, it was reported which players from the Uzbekistan national team would miss the match against Kyrgyzstan due to injuries or other reasons.
