Kindergarten teacher stuck a needle to a child's hand in Khorezm

Social media posts claimed that a child was physically assaulted, including being pricked with a needle, by a nursery staff member. The response from the Children's Ombudsman followed these reports.

It's worth mentioning that the Children's Ombudsman has been actively involved in monitoring this situation.

The incident captured in the video reportedly occurred in November 2023 at Preschool Education Institution No. 23 in the Gurlan district of the Khorezm region. The educator involved, identified as F.S., allegedly mistreated kindergarten students M.Kh. and T.Sh. (boys born in 2018), engaging in physical altercations and slapping the children multiple times. The video evidence corroborates these claims.

“Investigations into the incident, including the insertion of the needle into the child's hand, are currently underway by the Department of Internal Affairs of Gurlan district,” the report stated. 

It's important to recall that previously, a kindergarten teacher in Tashkent was dismissed for using force and making threats against children. Another incident involves the ongoing investigation of a teacher accused of assaulting a five-year-old child.
