Action was taken against illegal waste disposal in Khorezm

In the Khorezm region, individuals who disposed of waste in unauthorized locations have been fined, as reported by the Ministry of Ecology and Environmental Protection.

The incidents occurred in the "Sangar" neighborhood of Khiva, where waste was improperly dumped by citizens S.U., A.M., A.B., A.A., I.M., S.M., Kh.B., Sh.I., Kh.Sh., Y.I., M.U., V.B., and B.D. Additionally, A.A. and A.Sh. were found to have committed the same offense in the "Guliston" neighborhood of Khiva city.

Administrative reports were filed against these offenders under the relevant articles of the Code of Administrative Responsibility. Each was fined 340,000 soums, equivalent to one basic calculation unit. Notably, A.A. faced a double fine of 680,000 soums for dumping waste in Urganch city, while another individual, also named A.A., was fined three times, totaling 1,020,000 soums for dumping waste in Khiva city.

"Online surveillance cameras enable the identification and resolution of not only illegal waste disposal but also various other environmental violations," the report states.

It is worth mentioning that previously, the head of the Department of Canal Use and Improvement of Areas Adjacent to Tashkent City was fined for improperly disposing of garbage in the Bozsuv Canal.
