Nightclub manager faces charges for employing underage dancer (video)

15643In Urgench, Khorezm region, a 14-year-old seventh-grade student was discovered performing as a dancer in a nightclub. This was reported by the regional Department of Internal Affairs.
According to the report, law enforcement and regulatory authorities conducted inspections of cafes, bars, and restaurants operating at night. During one of these inspections, it was revealed that the manager of a nightclub had allowed the underage girl to work as a dancer.
In response to the incident, an administrative protocol was filed against the nightclub manager under Article 188, Section 2 of the Administrative Responsibility Code (involving a minor in antisocial behavior). Additionally, explanatory measures were carried out as per the established procedures.
The investigation also determined that the 14-year-old girl had been left unsupervised and in a socially dangerous situation at the nightclub. She has since been placed in the Social and Legal Assistance Center for Minors under the jurisdiction of the Department of Internal Affairs.
On February 7, 2025, a nationwide operation called “Oriat” was conducted across Uzbekistan. The operation aimed to identify crimes against morality and health, as well as to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS and other infectious diseases. Joint inspections were carried out in saunas, SPA salons, massage parlors, karaoke bars, hotels, hostels, nightclubs, and other public venues. During the operation, 340 establishments were inspected, and 2,957 individuals were provided with counseling and underwent mobile medical examinations, with appropriate medical conclusions issued.
