Quick response saves part of Khorezm shop from devastating fire

A three-story shop located in Hazorasp district, Khorezm region, was engulfed in flames on April 17, 2025, as reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

According to the report, the regional emergency services were alerted about the fire at 4:04 pm in the “Temirchi maskan” neighborhood. Firefighting crews arrived at the scene by 4:11 pm, contained the fire by 4:39 pm, and completely extinguished it by 5:10 pm. The operation involved five firefighting teams and two auxiliary water transport units. Senior officials from the regional and district emergency departments were present at the site.

The fire damaged the shop's roof, ceiling, interior, and equipment, covering an area of 280 square meters. Quick actions by the firefighting teams managed to save 200 square meters of the shop from the flames. Investigations into the cause and extent of the damage are currently underway. No injuries or fatalities were reported as a result of the incident.

Note: Previously, a similar incident occurred in the Olmazor district, Tashkent, where a shop was destroyed by fire.
