A citizen of Uzbekistan, who had been on the international wanted list for 8 years, was apprehended during a search operation conducted by the Migration Service Department of the Shymkent Police in Kazakhstan. This information was reported by Kazinform.

The 41-year-old individual was found by law enforcement officers in a rented apartment located in the Turon district of Shymkent. Following a court decision, the man was deported from Kazakhstan and banned from re-entering the country for five years.

Additionally, the operation "Illegal Migrant - 2024," which took place from October 14 to 18, 2024, led to the identification and administrative punishment of 556 foreign nationals and Kazakhstani citizens for violating the regulations on entry, stay, and departure from the Republic of Kazakhstan in the city of Shymkent.

"According to the authorities, 61 foreign nationals were expelled from Kazakhstan for severe violations of migration laws, while the permitted stay of 44 foreigners in the country was shortened," the report states.

This follows a previous incident where another Uzbek citizen, wanted since November 2023, was apprehended in Kazakhstan.
