The body of a 33-year-old man was discovered in the Great Fergana Canal, according to Hayot Shamsutdinov, the press secretary of the General Prosecutor's Office, as reported by QALAMPIR.UZ.
On June 22, citizen T.O., born in 1991, went to bathe in the Fergana canal near the Samandarak region of Fergana and did not return. His body was found unharmed on June 28 in the Great Fergana canal in the Zinasha district of Uzbekistan.
Hayot Shamsutdinov stated, "Currently, the Baghdad district prosecutor's office is investigating this incident."
The deceased, survived by his wife and two children, was employed in the construction industry.
Earlier, in Tashkent, a student drowned in the "Borijar" canal and tragically passed away.
