A video circulating on social media shows an ambulance in Kokand being used to transport firewood. The Republican Emergency Medical Assistance Center has stated the incident.

According to the report, on March 13, an ambulance belonging to Kokand City’s Family Polyclinic No. 10 was found to have been misused by its driver, G.A., who independently loaded tree saplings into the vehicle. A critical meeting was subsequently held with officials from the Kokand City Medical Association to address the issue, which had sparked discussions on social media.

As a result of the meeting, the employment contract with driver G.A. was terminated. Additionally, the chief doctor of the polyclinic, F.M., was issued a formal reprimand for negligence in managing official responsibilities, including ensuring the efficient and proper use of vehicles. The reprimand highlighted the lack of adequate training and guidance provided to drivers.

As a reminder, a similar incident was previously reported in the Samarkand region, where an ambulance was seen transporting bags of onions. However, investigations later revealed that the vehicle belonged to a private clinic operating in Samarkand, not to the emergency medical service.
