Investigation launched into tragic death after routine operation

A 32-year-old prosecutor tragically passed away following a nasal bone surgery at a private clinic in the Fergana region. The news was shared with QALAMPIR.UZ by the deceased’s spouse.

According to her statement, the man had entered the clinic on his own for the procedure but never came out alive.

“Is it possible that a healthy person can lose their life due to a doctor’s mistake? My three children are now fatherless,” the grieving spouse said in her appeal.

QALAMPIR.UZ reached out to Hayot Shamsutdinov, press secretary of the Prosecutor General’s Office, for clarification on the incident. He confirmed that the Fergana Regional Prosecutor’s Office has launched a pre-investigation review into the matter. Authorities have assured that the investigation will be conducted thoroughly, objectively, and that a lawful decision will be made based on its findings.

The deceased, M.M., had been working as an operative officer in the Fergana Regional Department for Combatting Economic Crimes.
