Nine Uzbek children, left without parental care in the Kazakh city of Almaty, have been returned to Uzbekistan. This was reported by the "Dunyo" news agency.

According to the report, diplomats from the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Almaty, together with representatives from the State Institution for the Support of Children in Difficult Situations and the city’s Department of Education, completed all necessary documentation for the return of the children, aged 6-17, to their homeland.

“They were handed over to the employees of the Main Department for Crime Prevention of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan for release to their close relatives,” the report stated.

For reference, 93 children have been returned to Uzbekistan from abroad in the past three months.

It should be recalled that earlier, with the assistance of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in St. Petersburg, 16 minors left without parental care in Russia were also repatriated to Uzbekistan.
