A blogger has been sentenced to five years in prison in Kashkadarya.

The Nishon district court of Kashkadarya region concluded the public trial of Abdulhakim Abjalilov on January 29, announcing the verdict. The courts in Kashkadarya region shared this information.

Abdulhakim Abjalilov was found guilty of extortion under Article 165 ("a", "v"), part 2 of the Criminal Code, receiving a 5-year prison sentence. He is mandated to serve this sentence in general order colonies, with a requirement to pay damages of 1 million soums to one of the two victims in the case.

The involved parties are notified of their right to appeal or protest within the established legal procedure and timeframe in the court of Kashkadarya region.

Abdulhakim Abjalilov, born in 1974 in Namangan region, was a blogger, serving as the head of "Achchiq Haqiqat" LLC and the administrator of the corresponding channel.
