There was widespread news on social media claiming that three children had died due to a transformer explosion in the Yakkabog district of the Kashkadarya region. However, the Government's information service denied these reports.
The Government's response stated, "Fake news regarding a transformer explosion in Yakkabog district causing the death of young children was spread on social networks. Such an incident has never occurred in Yakkabog district. The individual responsible for disseminating this false information will be held accountable in accordance with the law."
Additionally, the individual behind this network had previously claimed the incident occurred near their residence, prior to the spread of this misinformation.”
