Illegal sand mining offenders were apprehended in Kashkadarya

5646The Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change reported the discovery of individuals unlawfully excavating construction materials in the Kashkadarya region.
Authorities, alongside the Kashkadarya regional ecology department, conducted operations along the Kashkadarya River within the Karshi district.
During the operation, citizen F. K. was found to be illicitly extracting natural sand for personal use, utilizing a Doosan Solar 300LS-V excavator and a “KamAZ” truck, resulting in an estimated environmental damage of 19,433,914,337 soums.
Similarly, citizen R. Q. was found engaged in illegal sand extraction using a "Schackman" excavator and a "KamAZ" truck, with an estimated environmental damage of 22,155,780,000 soums.
In accordance with Article 291 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, measures were taken, including the placement of technical equipment in the penalty area, and relevant documentation was forwarded to the General Prosecutor's Office for legal assessment and action against the perpetrators.
It's worth noting that last month, individuals involved in illegal gold mining were apprehended in Samarkand.
