Snow fell in Kashkadarya and Jizzakh

Today, 19 October, snow fell in the Kashkadarya and Jizzakh regions of Uzbekistan, as well as on the «Kamchik» pass.

Videos have been distributed on social networks, that show how snow falls on the mountains of the Zomin district of Jizzakh region and the Hisar ridge Kashkadarya.

Snow fell in the villages of Yodoshboy, Temirkadam, Usmat, Mughal, Novka, Bakhmal district, Dzhizak region.  It is reported that snow has also started in the Forish area.

In the Kitab district of Kashkadarya region, snow is falling, especially in the village of Denovbola, in the village of Gilan, Shahrisabz district.

Erkin Abdulakhatov, a specialist at the Center of Hydrometeorological Service, wrote that the second phase of the western air currents that entered the territory of the republic brought snow to the highlands.

“Today, the levels of snow in the mountains will increase.  In the highlands of the Tashkent region there may be snow.  The transition of rain into snow began to be observed in the mountain areas below the mountains”, - says the expert.
