Two individuals lost their lives in an accident at the 'Qamchiq' pass

Two individuals lost their lives in an accident when a truck overturned at the 'Qamchiq' pass. The Traffic Safety Service of the Public Security Department from the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported the incident.

The event occurred on January 9 at 20:30 along the A-373 highway, specifically at the 225th kilometer within the Pop district of Namangan region.

The driver, born in 1988, was operating a 'Chacman' truck on the 'Vadiy-Tashkent' route when excessive speed led to loss of control, causing the truck to collide with the road's dividing iron fence and overturn. Subsequently, a fire erupted in the vehicle, extinguished promptly by firefighters.

Tragically, both the truck driver and one passenger succumbed to their injuries at the scene. Presently, an investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Additionally, there was a previous incident where an Isuzu vehicle collided with the Kamchik pass tunnel and caught fire.
