Thousands of homes left without gas after truck damages pipeline in Andijan

On the morning of November 25, thousands of homes in the Andijan region were left without natural gas after a truck collided with a high-pressure gas pipeline, according to “Hududgaztaminot” JSC.

The incident occurred in the “Yangiabad” neighborhood of Ulugnar district, where a truck struck the pipeline, causing a gas leak.

To address the emergency, the natural gas supply was temporarily suspended at 07:10, affecting 3,200 households and 9 wholesale consumers in the district.

"Efforts are underway to resolve the issue, and gas supply will be restored once repairs are completed," the report states.

Background: Previously, a similar incident occurred in the “Bogiston” neighborhood of the Sariosiya district in the Surkhandarya region. A Cobalt truck struck a pipeline, disrupting gas supply to 700 homes and 3 wholesale consumers.
