On December 10, a session of the Council of People's Deputies of Izboskan district took place in the Andijan region under the leadership of the deputy adviser to the President and regional governor, Shuhrat Abdurahmanov.
The session deliberated on the release of Serobiddin Ismailov, who was acting as the district governor based on the regional governor's decision. Following the deputies' final decision, the district governor resigned.
Additionally, Hojiakbar Umarov, the former first deputy of the district governor, was appointed as the interim replacement.
For context, Serobiddin Ismailov, born in 1974 in the Altinkol district of Andijan region, graduated from Andijan State University in 1996 with a degree in mathematics. Prior to his resignation, he held various positions within the administration, including roles such as chief specialist of the Altinkol district administration (2005-2007), leading specialist of the control-monitoring branch of Andijan regional administration (2007-2008), head of the secretariat for relations with religious and public organizations of Andijan regional administration (2008-2011), head of the general department of the regional administration (2011-2015), head of the public education department of Andijan regional administration (2015-2017), and deputy of the regional administration for youth policy, social development, and spiritual and educational affairs.
