More than 4.173 billion soums of unjustified debt, calculated for services not provided by the State Department of Production of the "Issiqlik Manbai" in the Fergana region, has been canceled. The press service of the Committee for the Development of Competition and Protection of Consumer Rights reported this information.
It was noted that during the heating season, accidents (supply interruptions) occurred in the central networks supplying heat to multi-story buildings due to low natural gas pressure and other valid reasons. As a result, households did not receive adequate heat supply. Upon recalculating based on the relevant clauses of the contracts with the supply company, it was found that over 4.173 billion soums of unjustified charges had been calculated for 6,146 consumers.
Consequently, after reviewing the case, the regional department of the Competition Committee issued an instruction to cancel the unjustified debt of over 4.173 billion soums owed to the regional "Issiqlik Manbai" production state department. As a result, the debts for services not provided by the supplier company were canceled.
We also remind you that the Competition Committee had previously initiated a case against JSC "Uzbekneftegaz."
