Georgy Krainov was born on 21 November 1933, in the city of Andijan. He graduated from the Andijan State Pedagogical Institute.
He started his career in the newspaper “Андижанская правда” (Andijan truth). He served as a proofreader, Editor-in-Chief, Executive Secretary, and Deputy Editor-in-Chief.
In 1976, Krainov worked as the head of the newspaper and magazine sector of the propaganda department under the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Uzbekistan.
A year later he was appointed as the Deputy First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Uzbekistan. He also worked with Sharof Rashidov (Former Soviet-era Uzbekistan leader) for many years.
Since the first years of Uzbekistan’s independence, Georgy Krainov has held the most responsible positions of the state - assistant to the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Chief advisor at the reception of the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan. He was respected by his colleagues and highly valued by the first president of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov. In recent years he worked as a head of the protocol sector of the Main Directorate under the office of the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
From 2018 until his last days, he worked as a leading researcher of the scientific and educational memorial complex named after the first president of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov.
He was awarded the title of «Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan», the Orders of “Friendship” and “Labor of Glory”, and the medal «For Faithful Service».
