A civil case involving Tatyana Karimova, the wife of Uzbekistan's First President, Islam Karimov, is set to be heard in the Single Interdistrict Court of Civil Affairs on June 26. The plaintiff, Pyotr Karimov, is Islam Karimov's son from his previous marriage to Natalya Kuchmi. The Tashkent city court has released this information to the public.

The lawsuit centers around a dispute over inheritance rights, according to court documents. Judge Aziz Rahmonov will preside over the case as it reaches the court of first instance.

To provide some background, the late First President of Uzbekistan, Islam Karimov, had three children from his two marriages. Pyotr Karimov, the eldest son, currently resides in the Moscow region and previously served as the deputy chairman of the board of Asia-Invest Bank.

It is worth noting that Pyotr Karimov, who was recently arrested on suspicion of assaulting his wife in the Russian city of Krasnogorsk in May, reportedly expressed his intention to return to Uzbekistan to attend the inheritance court proceedings.
