In the past two months, 34 neglected children from abroad have been returned to Uzbekistan, according to the National Agency of Social Protection.

Recently, in early October, four more children deprived of parental care were repatriated to Uzbekistan through collaboration with the Ministries of Internal Affairs, Foreign Affairs, and Health. Three of the children were brought back from Turkey, and one from Russia.

The National Social Protection Agency has taken prompt measures to place the children and reunite them with their families or close relatives. Specifically, documents have been prepared to return two children to their parents and to place one child under the guardianship of an aunt. Additionally, the situation of one child is currently being assessed, and efforts are underway to identify next of kin to formalize temporary guardianship until the mother returns from Russia.

To date, 34 children deprived of parental care abroad were returned to the Republic of Uzbekistan during August and September. Since the beginning of the year, a total of 89 minor citizens of Uzbekistan have been repatriated.

The National Agency of Social Protection offers various social services, including psychological and legal assistance, to the children and their family members through "Inson" social service centers located near their places of residence.

Furthermore, it is noteworthy that earlier, three unattended children from Turkey were also returned to Uzbekistan.
