Today, on August 8, at an extraordinary session of the Gurlan District Council of People's Deputies, Ruslan Khojibaevich Urazboev was appointed district governor. This was reported by the press service of the Khorezm regional government.
Orazboev was born in 1979 and graduated from the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers in 2000. Before his appointment, he worked as the head of the Khorezm Region Department of the Cadastre Agency under the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
We remind you that yesterday, on August 7, new governors were appointed to the districts of Furqat, Tashkent, Mingbulok, Karaozak, Takhiatosh, and Yangiarik, as well as the city of Ghazgon. Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov's proposal to dismiss the former mayors of these regions, as well as the former mayor of Yangiarik, was supported on July 17 at a video selector meeting chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The meeting was dedicated to reviewing the work carried out in the first half of the year and discussing future tasks to ensure economic growth.
