Additional documents required from applicants for recovering gas and electricity debts

11525Additional documents are now required from applicants to collect debts for electricity and gas. This is stipulated in the law "On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legal Documents of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Connection with the Further Improvement of Executive Proceedings," signed by the President on August 28 of this year.
According to the law, documents confirming that the debtor has been disconnected from the energy resource network must be attached to the application for the collection of compulsory payments for consumed electricity or natural gas submitted to the Enforcement Bureau.
In addition to the documents outlined in the first part of this article, the following copies must be attached to the application for issuing a court order for the recovery of debt for consumed electricity or natural gas:
- The contract concluded with the consumer;
- The demand for payment of the debt, along with the document confirming that it has been sent to the consumer, including a warning about the calculation of penalties and the disconnection of the consumer from the relevant energy resource networks;
- A document confirming that the consumer has been disconnected from the relevant energy resource networks.
