Lacetti driver was arrested for causing the death of a minor girl in Fergana

A driver of a Lacetti car who violated traffic rules has been arrested in the Fergana region following a tragic accident. This was reported by the "Zamon" program.

The incident occurred on June 4 along the 9th kilometer of the Kokand-Tashkent route in Dangara district. The Lacetti driver, identified as S., was traveling with an acquaintance, H., who was controlling the car halfway through the journey. The car was speeding at 130 kilometers per hour, violating traffic safety regulations. As a result, the Lacetti crashed into the rear of a Damas vehicle driven by citizen A. The collision caused injuries to the drivers and passengers of both cars, totaling four people, all of whom were hospitalized.

Despite the medical assistance provided, a minor girl who was a passenger in the Damas vehicle later died in the hospital from the injuries she sustained in the crash.

The accused driver, H., partially admitted his guilt and acknowledged his inability to compensate for the material and moral damages caused to the victims. The court ruled to recover damages in the amount of 113 million sums from the defendant.

H. was found guilty under part 2 of Article 266 of the Criminal Code (Violation of safety rules for the movement of vehicles or their use). He has been sentenced to six years in prison and deprived of his right to drive for three years.

Earlier, a similar incident occurred in the Jizzakh region, where a Cobalt car struck two young sisters, aged 13 and 4, who were crossing the road. The sisters suffered fatal injuries at the scene. In connection with this, a criminal case was initiated against the suspect, O.A., under Article 266 (Violation of the safety rules of the movement of vehicles or their use) and Article 117 (Leaving at risk) of the Criminal Code. O.A. has been arrested and is currently in temporary custody.
