On December 17, a devastating fire broke out at a gas station in Fergana city, Fergana region. According to official reports, four people tragically lost their lives in the incident. However, eyewitnesses at the scene claimed that the actual number of casualties might be higher than reported.

Investigations by QALAMPIR.UZ revealed that the site of the explosion belongs to a private company called "XK FARG‘ONA LAYLI NAXOR." The company was established in 2006, and its founder is Azizkhoja Yusuphojaevich Mavlanov.

Further inquiries uncovered that Azizkhoja Mavlanov is a native of Fergana and a close relative of Akmalhoja Yusupovich Mavlanov, the Chairman of the Customs Committee of Uzbekistan. The two are reportedly brothers.

For context, Akmalhoja Yusupovich Mavlanov was born in 1975 in the Fergana region. He graduated from the Tashkent State Law Institute in 2002, holding a law degree. His role as Chairman of the Customs Committee positions him as a significant figure in Uzbekistan's public administration.
