Projects will be implemented in the Kuva district of Fergana region, which will allow 6,000 Uzbeks working abroad to return to their country. This was announced at a meeting held by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in the city of Kokan, Fergana region.

It is noted that the volume of industrial products in the district can be increased by an additional 100 billion soums due to the modernization of the "Soyguzar" station in the Kuva district, the construction of a 1.5-kilometer power grid, and the installation of 2 large transformers.

It is also planned to establish an Agrologistics and youth center on 26 hectares of the "Mustaqilik" neighborhood with an investment of 25 million dollars and provide 1.5 thousand residents with high-income jobs.

The main highway connecting Fergana with Andijan passes through the Kuva district, and 2-3 thousand cars pass through this area daily. It was noted that this is a great opportunity for the development of infrastructure along the road.

In general, it was reported that through the newly identified opportunities, there are conditions to start 160 projects that will create more than 10,000 jobs, worth an additional $150 million by the end of the year.

Thanks to these projects, an environment will be created for the return of 6,000 migrants from abroad to Uzbekistan.

We remind you that earlier it was noted that if the works on the bridge connecting Besharik with the Sogd region of Tajikistan are completed, this district will become a transit area for 500,000 residents of the neighboring republic.
