Starting April 23, Uzbekistan has launched a pilot online application system for registering new vehicles via my.gov.uz. The initiative was announced by the portal's press service.

Currently, the service is being tested at the "Fayzobod" Registration and Examination Department in Tashkent. If the trial proves successful, the system will first expand across Tashkent city before being rolled out nationwide.

Applicants can choose from two registration options:

  • Standard Registration: Visiting the Registration and Examination Department in person.
  • Mobile Service: A road patrol inspector comes to the applicant's location (subject to an additional fee).

Service Fees:

  • Registration Fee: 6.84 times the Basic Calculation Amount (BCA) (Electric vehicles, motorcycles, and trailers: 1.5 times the BCA)
  • License Plate Fee: 3.5 times the BCA
  • Registration Certificate (Technical Passport): 0.7 times the BCA
  • Technical Inspection Fee: 0.1 times the BCA

Mobile Service Fees (within 10 km):

  • Within 1 day: 4 times the BCA
  • Within 3 days: 3 times the BCA
  • Within 5 days: 2 times the BCA For distances beyond 10 km, an additional charge of 0.05 times the BCA per km applies.

Once the application is submitted via my.gov.uz, the applicant receives an invoice for payment and a temporary license plate number. After payment, they must visit the Fayzobod Registration Center, where a traffic inspector conducts a vehicle inspection before issuing the final license plate and technical passport.

Under a presidential decree on wages, pensions, and allowances, the Basic Calculation Amount (BCA) in Uzbekistan was increased by 10% as of October 1, 2024, bringing it to 375,000 UZS.
