Privileges for entering higher education institutions will no longer be included in the general quota

In Uzbekistan, the national information system «Transparent Construction» will provide the opportunity to receive online appeals from citizens about cases of illegal construction.  This is stated in the decision of the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan «On measures to improve mechanisms for eliminating corruption risks in the sphere of state administration and to expand public participation in this sphere», adopted today, 11 May.

According to the document, also:

• The list of preferences for admission to higher education institutions will be compiled in a single document, and it will be established that these privileges are not included in the general quota;
• An electronic system of providing students with dormitories in universities will be introduced;
• Transparent electronic mechanisms will be created to allow the placement of business facilities in bus stations;
• The placement of outdoor advertising objects will be carried out in strict accordance with the procedure of the internet auction and public control will be strengthened.
