9925Under new regulations, drivers in Uzbekistan will not face penalties if violations recorded by automated traffic cameras are not reported to an official within 48 hours. The law, signed by the President on October 28, 2024, brings key updates to the Code of Administrative Responsibility.
According to the amendment, no administrative case will proceed if a violation recorded by automated photo and video equipment is not submitted within 48 hours to the official authorized to impose fines.
The legislation also introduces penalties for traffic offenses committed while operating small electric motor vehicles and other individual mobility devices.
Additionally, a new provision aims to reduce administrative delays by allowing the dismissal of cases involving emergency vehicles like ambulances and fire rescue units when performing official duties.
Earlier reports indicated that administrative liability would apply to those operating scooters, mopeds, bicycles, and other personal mobility devices, especially for offenses such as transporting passengers on these vehicles.
