6937The Lacetti of a female driver who accumulated 230 traffic violations in Tashkent was confiscated and sold at auction. Farrukh Tashpolatov, press secretary of the Enforcement Bureau, reported this.
In February of this year, the Shaikhontohur district branch of the MIB seized the Lacetti belonging to the driver who had committed 174 violations. The driver was informed that the car would be returned if he paid the debt of 59 million soums from the 174 administrative fines.
However, six months later, the number of violations increased to 230. This indicates that the driver continued to violate traffic rules even before the initial fines were settled. As a result, after 60 days, all of his debts were transferred to the MIB. Consequently, the total number of violations reached 230, and the number of fines accumulated to 88 million soums.
The debtor's Lacetti was put up for auction, where it was purchased by a participant for 92 million soums.
It is noted that the funds received from the auction are currently being used to pay off the debtor's fines.
Earlier in the Kashkadarya region, a Gentra car belonging to a person who violated traffic rules 105 times and failed to pay administrative fines was also impounded.
