A new billing program for electricity bills has been launched in Uzbekistan, according to JSC "Regional Electric Networks."
The new REN Billing software complex allows consumers to make online payments for electricity and monitor their account information. The updated system enables consumers to track their electricity bills, including payment details, daily consumption, and other relevant information online.
The company explained that the delay in implementing this system was due to various technical processes and a phased rollout. They apologized to consumers for any inconvenience caused.
It is worth noting that earlier, the Minister of Energy, Jurabek Mirzamahmudov, announced that Uzbekistan plans to export excess electricity to Europe by 2030, as discussed during the first meeting of Central Asian energy ministers in Astana.
